First time out since Vass last summer, and it showed! Was hoping for more North in the wind, but it was pretty much onshore that was leading to lots of chop and slop - spent most of the day in the deep water beach start position, looking for gaps before getting board broadside and going for the start. Main problems were powering up and going straight round the front (keep front leg extended straight?) and just the whole balance thing in chop. Had one good run in harness and strap blasting off down the line but don't know if I would ever have been able to turn in that stuff. More practice needed for sure!
